Ingredients

Melanie's Stuffed Cabbage Rolls
I got the recipe from a community cookbook and has been making it ever since. Something different to do with your cabbage. This is a fairly common dish on local diners here in the U.S. Make them yourself and freeze them individually or as much as you want on tupperwares. Just pop them in the microwave when you don't have time to prepare dinner.

1 large head cabbage
2 lbs. ground beef
2 tbs. oil
1 cup cooked rice
1 onion, diced
1 egg
1 tsp. poultry seasoning or thyme
salt and pepper to taste
2 8oz. cans tomato sauce
1 tbs. brown sugar (more if you wan't sauce sweeter)
1/4 cup water 1 tbs. vinegar

Instructions
Wash caggage. Steam the whole head of cabbage a few minutes. Cool. Separate leaves. Brown ground beef in oil, season with salt, pepper and poultry seasoning or thyme. Add the onion and rice. Let cool until easy to handle. Spoon meat mixture into cabbage leaves and roll up. Place in a baking dish. Mix tomato sauce, brown sugar, water and vinegar. Spoon over cabbage rolls. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 min. to an hour.
