Kare-Kare

 Ingredients
1 1/2 kilo kare-kare, tenderized
1/4 cup aschuete oil
4 cloves garlic, pounded
1/2 cup sliced onions
4 cups soup stock
1 piece banana heart, quartered
10 pieces string beans, cut 2 inches long
2 pcs. eggplant, cut to serving pieces
1/2 cup ground toasted rice
1/2 cup ground peanuts
salt, pepper, vetsin to taste

BAGOONG GUISADO:
1/2 cup pork fat,diced
2 cloves garlic, pounded
1/4 cup onions, diced
1/2 cup tomatoes, diced
1/2 cup shrimp bagoong
 



Instructions
Saute garlic and onions in aschuete oil. Add kare-kare soup stock and ground rice. Bring to boil and simmer until thickened. Add vegetables and simmer until cooked. Serve with peanuts and bagoong guisado.

Bagoong Guisado:
Boil fat in little water until oil is extracted. Saute garlic and onions and tomatoes. Add bagoong and simmer until done.
